GT Updates

The GT is in the shop getting fresh tires and fluids, plus an additional set of high output LED driving lights.  I'll post another photo with the lights when I pick up the bike this weekend.

SPOT (our GPS tranceiver) lives on the shelf above the speedometer to the left of the XM receiver.  The yellow radio is an FRS unit to allow the bikes to communicate where cell service isn't available.  All comms (2-way, cell, XM and navigation) connect through the Garmin Zumo to each helmet via bluetooth.

The GT has a larger tank than the Drifter and can go ~240 miles between stops, so we'll be carrying two extra 1 gallon fuel containers (inside the bag on the rear seat) for places where fuel stations are >120 miles apart.

Backup paper maps live in the tank bag cover.  The cover is also the perfect size for an iPad II, but too much of a distraction when traveling.  The tank bag is powered and holds an iPhone charger and helmet charger (for the bluetooth), plus a Canon 50D and lense.
